About Abby Surya
Abby Surya Djai is a Congolese singer (DRC), who started her career in the 1980s. Abby was initially member of famous Abeti Masikini band Les Redoutables. Almost all Congolese artists wanted some form of collaboration with Abby then after. She also had successful collaborations with some international artists. One of the most notable collaboration is with composer Mayaula Mayoni, on the hit Ousmane Bakayoko. It is uncommon to go to a Congolese party, especially a wedding, where Ousmane Bakayoko would not be played. Eventually, Abby started releasing her own album from 1991 too. She revisited some songs from Abeti era by the way.
